CONVERSION FROM INFO PATH 2007 TO INFO PATH 2010 BROWSER ENABLED FORM


Follow these 10 steps in converting 2007 InfoPath form to 2010 browser enabled form.




1. Open InfoPath Form:

Open the 2007 InfoPath template (XSN file)






2. Go to Form Options:

Go to Form options.
File -> Info -> Form Options





3. Change Compatibility

Click Compatibility tab, in that change the
Form type from InfoPath 2007 Filler Form to Web Browser Form and click OK





4. Data Connections


In top Ribbon bar Click Data and Click on Data Connections









 

5. Convert Data Connections to 2010 Format


To solve the error message:



“This SharePoint library or list data connection was created using an older format. Convert it to the InfoPath 2010 format before saving the form template.”



Select every data connection and click Convert to Current Version.








 
6. Publish Form


Click File -> Publish -> SharePoint Server











7. Publish form as browser enabled

Check the Enable this form to be filled out by using a browser and publish the form.




8. Library Settings

Go to library settings and under Permissions and Management click Relink documents to this library.



9. Relink documents to new template

In Ribbon bar under Documents and click Relink All





10. Open Existing 2007 forms

Existing 2007 items in library can be opened in browser.
